Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TEN), a leading global supplier of Ride Performance and Clean Air products and systems, announced today that it is supplying high-performance passive suspension dampers featuring the company&rsquo;s exclusive Multi-Tuned Valve (MTV) technology on Ford Motor Company&rsquo;s newest 2017 Ford Fiesta. MTV offers superior damper performance and durability compared with conventional passive valve designs, resulting in optimum balance between body control and driver comfort. &ldquo;We are pleased to contribute to the exciting new Ford Fiesta,&rdquo; said Martin Hendricks, executive vice president and president, Tenneco Ride Performance. &nbsp;&ldquo;Tenneco&rsquo;s MTV technology allows manufacturers to precisely tailor ride and handling characteristics to provide the perfect mix of sport suspension combined with enhanced vehicle performance.&rdquo;

As one of Tenneco&rsquo;s most popular global passive damping technologies, MTV is a clamped-disc, full-displacement valve system engineered to provide a wide range of tuning options, excellent noise performance and other benefits for every road condition. It can be used in mono-tube and double-tube dampers and on vehicles, ranging from compact to premium class.

Each of the new Fiesta models that have debuted in Europe and Middle East and Africa regions &ndash; the 2017 Trend, Titanium, Vignale, ST-Line, and Active are assembled in Cologne, Germany. Tenneco is producing the dampers for the Fiesta at its advanced manufacturing facilities in Gliwice, Poland, and Hodkovice, Czech Republic.
